Improving Confidence by Engagement (ICE) Workshop

This learning is intended for police officers, community support officers, police staff and their partners who work together in a neighbourhood team. The principal aim is to improve the quantity and quality of community intelligence gathered by neighbourhood policing teams, and increase the level of community engagement. This training is a requirement of the Counter terrorism National police PREVENT strategy.

The NPIA has developed a range of learning products to help forces and provide development opportunities for those working as part of a neighbourhood team. The following programmes contain modules that specifically cover neighbourhood policing.

There are also NCALT products concerning Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABC's) and Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBO's) accessible via the MLE that have specific relevance to all those working in neighbourhood teams.
