PTRLDP: Diversity in Learning and Development

Who Should Attend?


Experienced trainers who are seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in the specific context of diversity training.

Course / Module entry requirements


Delegates will be experienced trainers, in possession of a Trainer Development Programme Certificate or equivalent qualification at Level 3 or above.

They will previously have attended the PTRLDP Advanced Facilitation in Practice Module.

They will also have completed the Police Race and Diversity Learning and Development Programme, (all 7 e-learning packages or equivalent workbooks)

OR

they will have achieved the National Occupational Standard AA1 (Promote Equality and Value Diversity) or the equivalent standards 1A4 and 1A5.

NPIA is also committed to facilitating local delivery of PTRLDP modules.

Aims


To contextualise the delivery of diversity learning, enabling delegates to enhance their training delivery skills in a diversity context.

Objectives


This module will enable learners to:

  • Identify and explain strategic, organisational and individual responsibilities in relation to embedding diversity in police learning and development
  • Promote and organise community involvement in police learning and development 
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate effective diversity learning and development events
