Bramshill

Bramshill house is a 17th Century Mansion set in rolling parkland which has been used as the centre for higher police training in the United Kingdom since the 1950's. 

 

 

Bramshill mansion viewed across the lakeBramshill house is in Hampshire, 32 miles (55 minutes) from Heathrow airport and 55 miles (70 minutes) from Gatwick airport. It is a grade 1 listed Jacobean mansion, set in an estate of 300 acres with a wide range of relaxing walks.  It has 3 lakes and, perhaps surprisingly, is custodian of a rare herd of white fallow deer. mansion room classroom

 

 

 

 

Residential Accommodation

All accommodation at Bramshill is en-suite.  Towels, bed linen and electric kettle with tea/coffee making facilities are provided in all bedrooms.  Each room is a segregated study-room with en-suite bathroom, telephone, television and broadband connection.  Bramshill bedroom

Sports FacilitiesBramshill gym

A gymnasium is available for use.  It contains a wide range of fitness equipment, a sports hall for organised sports and two squash courts.  An induction can be arranged as required. Use of all facilities in the gymnasium is available to students for the duration of the course at no additional cost.

In addition Bramshill has a number of outdoor sport facilities including the third oldest extant cricket pitch in the world.  There are also football pitches, tennis courts and a bowling green.

Library

Bramshill Police LibraryThe British National Police Library is based in the long gallery at Bramshill house and is the largest and best equipped policing library in Europe.  Free use of all the library facilities is available to students.

 

 

 

Other Facilities

  • There is an Internet e-Portal on site with 20 computer terminals.  This is available to all students and opens 24 hours a day.  Bramshill internet cafe
  • The Greenride Bar (with a TV lounge, Sky Television and pool tables) is open on site most evenings.
  • The on-site shop is open Monday to Friday and provides all daily needs:  newspapers, snacks, beverages, toiletries, mobile top up, stamps; dry cleaning and souvenirs.  Credit and debit cards are accepted as are cheques supported by a valid bank card.
  • Two chapels and a quiet room are available on site.  Delegates who wish attend organised worship can be accommodated and transport can be arranged to all local places of worship.
  • All meals are served in the Nuffield Hall dining room.  The staff at Bramshill are used to accommodating all cultural and dietary needs.
