What does the selection process involve?

The selection process will vary depending on the job you have applied for. Most candidates will go through a three or four stage process.

 This could include:

  • Shortlisting
  • Interview
  • Assessment / presentation or test
  • Second interview

How can I prepare for my NPIA interview?

Our selection process is built around NPIA core behaviours. It is important that you are aware of what these are and what evidence we will be looking for.

To succeed in a competency based interview, you need strong and relevant examples which demonstrate to the interviewer that you have the skills and abilities required of the role.

When will I hear about the outcome of my application?

Can I ask for feedback?

Anyone who applies for a job with the NPIA and is unsuccessful can arrange for verbal feedback to be given by the chair of the interview panel.

Do I need to send a signed version of my application form as well as an electronic one?

By completing the online application form your signature is implied and accepted and therefore you are not required to send a signed copy of the application form.

Can I apply for more than one vacancy?

Yes, but each application must be completed separately.
