Who Should Attend?


Inspectors, Chief Inspectors and Superintendents (or equivalent).

Course / Module entry requirements


Learners must be currently working in a covert operational field or about to be in post in a covert surveillance unit.

Learners must have a working knowledge of RIPA, Part 43 Police Act and CPIA.

Overview


This course gives managers the opportunity to explore a variety of covert tactics and techniques for use in the planning, preparation and delivery of covert operations.

Aims


To equip covert policing managers with the skills to ensure that covert resources are effectively deployed, managed and concluded in line with current legislation and best practice.

To help managers plan, prepare and execute a covert operation, making use of the most suitable covert techniques and tactics.
