  • Attendees are required to be fingerprint experts currently conducting analysis, comparison, evaluation & verification of case work and have identified a need to refresh their identification skills via their PDR pathway.
  • Attendees will be required to bring a completed case illustrating the identification process for use on this workshop

Overview


A three day workshop for fingerprint examiners to expand their core knowledge, refresh their identification skills and update current practices.

Aims


This workshop aims to develop and expand the core knowledge of fingerprint examiners by refreshing their identification skills and updating current practices.

Objectives


By the end of this workshop you will be able to;

  • Understand the scientific basis for individuality, persistence and immutability of ridged skin and the mechanisms that control the process.
  • Interpret the philosophy behind ACE.V
  • Practice the principles surrounding Qualitative & Quantitative analysis of friction ridge skin
  • Apply scientific methods to the comparison process.
  • Apply an unbiased approach to ridged skin comparison and be aware or your actions during the identification process.
  • Present the identification process in a simple, clear and helpful manner.
  • Work comfortably and confidently with friction ridge skin using the holistic approach.
