Fingerprint examiners who have identified a need to refresh these skills via their PDR pathway.

Course / Module entry requirements


  • Attendees are required to be fingerprint experts currently conducting analysis, comparison, evaluation & verification of case work and have identified a need to refresh their AFIS skills via their PDR pathway.
  • Attendees are required to have a current IDENT1 user name with Mark & Tenprint access.

Overview


A one day workshop for fingerprint examiners to revisit and refresh their AFIS skills and update current practices.

Aims


This workshop is practically based and will enable the fingerprint examiners to refresh their existing Automatic Fingerprint Identification Skills and update current practices.

Objectives


By the end of this workshop you will be able to;

  • Establish existing knowledge levels
  • Understand current legislation & guidelines
  • Capitalize on current IDENT1 techniques
  • Practice the Capture, Editing, Searching & Verification of Tenprint and Marks using current guidelines.
  • Understand the Livescan process
