PDP Support Service

A service open to non-NSCAS clients who are successful at Senior PNAC in 2010.

The development of a professional development plan is a pre-requisite for those who are successful at Senior PNAC and consequently attend the Strategic Command Course (SCC). The PDP Support Service aims to ensure that all SCC candidates have developed an effective PDP in preparation for SCC.

Please follow the links for more information about Senior PNAC or SCC.

Eligibility

Officers and staff who are not currently NSCAS clients and have passed the Senior PNAC process will be eligible to utilise the PDP Support Service.

Officers and staff who are already NSCAS clients will receive the NSCAS PDP Support Service as part of their ongoing engagement with their allocated Development Adviser.

Content

The service will support eligible individuals to develop a PDP and undertake any developmental diagnostic tools required as preparation for the SCC, a 360 degree feedback report completed within the last eighteen months and MBTI step I and II. All SCC participants are required to undertake diagnostics prior to attending the course. The NSCAS PDP Support Service will address individual requirements for these diagnostic tools in terms of both cost and the provision of feedback.

Details on how this support will be delivered will be available post Senior PNAC.

Further engagement with NSCAS

All successful participants in the 2010 Senior PNAC will be eligible for the NSCAS coaching service whilst on the SCC. After the SCC people will be eligible to access the Executive Development Programme and up to six sessions in the first year of being promoted to ACC.

Accessing the PDP Support Service

Following Senior PNAC we will contact all officers and staff who are eligible for the service.
