Overview

The workshops are to assist those engaged in Event, Emergency and Operational planning in relation to the national and local use of Airwave. They include information on what equipment is available to assist in planning, and what considerations should be taken into account in advance of events etc.

Aims

Objectives

At the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

  • Plan for and use Airwave interoperability with the other Emergency Services and required sharers.
  • Assist Force Airwave Teams and Operational Command in setting operating rules and working practices for using Airwave during planned events and operations.
  • Assist in reviewing current force major incident and contingency plans involving Airwave communications.
