ACPO / NPIA Equality Conference

In partnership with the Association of Chief Police Officers we organise an annual conference on equality & diversity in the police service.

 

 

2011 Conference - Friday 4th March 2011

We are pleased to announce the ACPO / NPIA Equality Conference will take place on Friday 4th March 2011.  The conference is titled "Equality in the Age of Austerity" and will focus on the changes to the equality in policing landscape and the requirements placed on the police service by the Equality Act 2010 specific duties.  This event was postponed from 28 and 29 October 2010. 

 

2009 Conference

The third annual ACPO / NPIA Equality Conference (in association with the APA) was held in Gloucestershire on the 1 October 2009, followed by a joint meeting of the ACPO / NPIA Confidence & Equality Practitioner Networks on 2 October 2009.

Attached to the right of this page are the PowerPoint presentations from our 3 keynote speakers (Jonathan Rees, Angela Mason and Ian Rennie) and the presentations used in 4 of the workshops that were held. Also attached is the Flexible Working in the Police Service document that was highlighted at the conference, plus English and Welsh language versions of the ACPO / APA / Home Office Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Strategy for the Police Service.
