Foundation for Senior Leadership (FSL) Programme
The programme will provide the knowledge, understanding and skills required of leaders operating at this level within the service. Through utilising different leadership styles and models, students will gain knowledge in respect of the principles of change management, understand the importance of ethical decision making, command and control skills and be able to apply a performance management framework to their respective areas of business. FSL has changed from a two week course to a three week programme that is divided into three, one week modules. Each module is linked to one of the leadership domains: Students will need to complete the programme in the above order, allowing a minimum of six weeks between each module to allow for learning to be embedded and transfered to the workplace. The programme provides greater flexibility for learners and will be delivered at the NPIA sites of Bramshill, Ryton and Harperley Hall. For further information about this programme Force Training Managers and potential delegates may find it useful to refer to our frequently asked questions.
