An RSS feed is basically a news feed that allows you to see when a website has added new content. If you want to find out what our latest vacancies are as soon as they are published then you can subscribe to our vacancy news feed. The first thing you need is a news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail. Once you have chosen a news reader you are ready to select NPIA vacancies. Your chosen news reader will contain help and instructions on how to add new feeds. Normally, this involves dragging the orange icon into your reader, or right-clicking the icon and selecting 'Copy shortcut' or 'Copy link location' before pasting. Your chosen reader will guide you through the appropriate procedure.
