Who Should Attend?
The module is suitable for crime prevention design advisers / architectural liaison officers. It is offered to partners from other agencies.
Course / Module entry requirements
Learners should have successfully completed the Crime Prevention Learning & Development Programme modules: Introduction to Crime Prevention, Security Products (e-learning), Site Surveying and Multi-Agency Problem Solving; or the
Crime Prevention Programme; or the Standard Crime Reduction Programme at least six months before attending the Designing out Crime module.
Alternatively, learners must have attended a certificated equivalent or provide accreditation of prior experiential learning (APEL).
A pre-requisite of attendance on all CPLDP modules is completion of the Diversity and the Police e-learning package.

Course / Module duration
The module is in 3 phases: - preliminary learning (at least 22 hours) - classroom based learning (ten days) - workplace learning and assessment (at least 20 hours)

Blended learning: classroom / e-learning / workbased / self-study.
Assessment process / accreditation details
A series of activities will test the learner's understanding and ability to apply learning in the workplace.
