Those who are about to undertake, or have just embarked upon, the role of Trainer as defined in the Skills for Justice Role Profiles.

Course / Module entry requirements


Completion of the PTRLDP modules:

Core Skills and Values Enabling
Learning in Practice

or

equivalent accredited prior learning / experience.
Completion of the Police Race and Diversity Learning and Development Programme, Diversity and the Police e-learning.

Overview


This module is primarily concerned with the further learning and development of trainers whose role requires them to engage in more complex modes of training.

Aims


To provide learners with an opportunity to develop, practice and enhance skills and techniques associated with specialist methods of learning delivery.

Objectives


This module will enable learners to:

  • Develop and employ specialist techniques for group activities.
  • Develop and employ case exercises, case studies and paper feeds.
  • Understand and employ best practice in the development and use of role play.
