Those who are about to undertake, or have just embarked upon, the roles of Trainer and Tutor as defined in the Skills for Justice Role Profiles.

Completion of the PTRLDP modules:

Core Skills and Values
Enabling Learning in Practice
or
Equivalent accredited prior learning / experience.

Completion of the Race and Diversity Learning and Development Programme, Diversity and the Police e-learning.

Overview


This module provides a basic introduction to effective evaluation techniques in the context of learning and development.

Aims


To introduce learners to the theory and practice of evaluating learning programmes and sessions, specifically in relation to the achievement of learning outcomes.

Objectives


This module will enable learners to:

  • Understand the principles and processes of evaluation.
  • Develop approaches to evaluating training sessions and programmes.
  • Develop approaches to collecting, managing and analysing data.
  • Present and utilise evaluation findings to inform change.
