FASP Module Four - First Aid at Work
No. of courses being run
Bespoke - training can be organised at NPIA site or local to a force - considerations to shift patterns and weekend working can be accommodated as required.

Course / Module duration
One full day or up to nine hours.
Methods of delivery
Providing theoretical and practical experience this course will be delivered through a combination of presentations and demonstrations with replication by delegates, combined with continual observation and coaching by course trainer.
Assessment process / accreditation details
Continuous assessment plus final assessment of the students' practical and theoretical ability to manage an appropriate emergency first aid situation.
Certification
First Aid Certificates are valid for a period of one year from certification.
Additional Information
Refresher training must take place annually. Six monthly refresher courses are recommended for defibrillator training.
Part of the training should focus on new procedures and changes to practice that have been introduced since the students' previous training.
The ratio of delegates to trainer will be a maximum of twelve to one.
The Module can be taught in its entirety or on a modular basis and can be adapted to suit a particular need for a particular organisation.
