Assisted Implementation
NPIA provides assisted implementation support to the police service in reducing crime, maintaining order, bringing criminals to justice and protecting and reassuring the public by helping forces to achieve optimum benefit from improvement programmes and projects. Our services are generally commissioned by ACPO (the Association of Chief Police Officers) to support improvements and developments in areas that pose significant risk to the public or police service should implementation fail. Recognising that change is not achieved by simply publishing and delivering documents to organisations without explanation of how to put it into practice we provide advice on critical success factors from the outset along with tailored support on a local and national basis. This support enables forces to benefit from improvement programmes or projects, which often result from the publication of codes, guidance or practice advice.
