Publications

NPIA in print.

We produce a range of publications targeted at different sectors of our customer base - the police service and the wider policing family. Our publications are available in hard copy or in most instances can be directly downloaded from this site.

The NPIA Digest is produced monthly by our Legal Services Department. This publication has been in print for more than 2 years and commands a wide readership throughout the police service. It is an environmental scanning publication intended to capture and consolidate topical and key issues, both current and future, impacting on all areas of policing.

The Force Training Managers Update targets training managers throughout the force ensuring they are kept abreast of all the latest training products promoted by the NPIA. It is produced monthly from our centre in Bramshill.

The Police Reform Act places legal obligations upon the NPIA in relation to the development of draft Regulations and Codes as commissioned by the Home Secretary. In addition, we also receive requests from both the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and Home Office Policy Units to commission guidance and practice advice.

These documents are supported by implementation support plans, practical advice that ensures policy is adopted and practiced within the current legal framework. Click here to find out what is publicly available from the Doctrine team.

Where appropriate the NPIA makes corporate documents available for download via this website. Browse this page to read our Business Plan.
