National Police Library

In today's world, information and resources are growing at an unprecedented rate and the National Police Library can make all the difference by linking you with essential information in a timely way.

We cover all aspects of policing - police science, criminal justice, legislation, cases, training, management and social sciences.

All UK police officers and police staff have free access to our full information resources and services on completion of the borrower registration form.

We are also able to assist non-police researchers - see 'Using the Library' for information.

The library is housed in a Jacobean mansion on the Bramshill estate.

You can use the library without visiting in person, simply by:

   Searching  the online catalogue
   Telephone: 44 (0) 1256 602650 or e-mail your enquiry or loan request
