Investigative Skills
We are hosting a series of special interest seminars through September, October and November 2010 in order to provide forces with a cost effective alternative to commercially run events of a similar nature. There are two seminars repeated at various NPIA venues, offered at £60 per delegate - a figure which enables the NPIA to recover costs only. The first is intended for BCU senior management teams focusing on the leadership lessons learned from recent key, notable cases such as Khyra Ishaq, Peter Connelly, Shannon Matthews and Edlington. The second seminar is aimed at child abuse investigation practitioners focusing on the investigative impact of complex forms of abuse occurring in particular communities such as honour based violence, female genital mutilation, belief in spirit possession and forced marriage. For further information on the dates and venues and to obtain a booking form see NPIA events page. NPIA Investigative Skills currently design, develop and in a limited category deliver national: All of which form various aspects of the Professionalising Investigation Programme (PIP).
