Crime Prevention Learning and Development Programme (CPLDP)

This programme is suitable for crime prevention and community safety officers. It is offered to crime and disorder reduction partners from all agencies.   It uses a blended learning approach including; classroom, e-learning, workbased and self study.

The programme comprises six modules which can be taken as a block or individually:

• An Introduction to Crime Prevention (2 days)
• Security Products (e-learning module) (3 hours)
• Site Surveying (3 days)
• Multi-Agency Problem Solving (3 days)
• Running a Crime Prevention Initiative (2 days)
• Designing out Crime (10 days)

The first five modules have been designed to provide the learning required by anyone who is fulfilling the role of crime prevention officer, community safety officer or equivalent. The Designing out Crime module is intended for those who carry out the role of a crime prevention design adviser/architectural liaison officer.

 We currently hold Crime Prevention and Designing out Crime (previously AOL) projects in our archive storage here at NPIA Harrogate from the year 2006 to present day. 

If you have reason to believe that your project is, or may be, still at Harrogate and would like this returning to you, please e-mail the Programme Management Unit, programmemanagement@npia.pnn.police.uk, advising us of a current address for the project to be returned to, along with your name, the course reference and course date.  Project(s) will be returned to you as soon as possible thereafter.

Please note, all projects outstanding after the 31 December 2010 will be disposed of in accordance with NPIA's policy.
