Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for Law Enforcement officers deployed as Covert Internet Investigation. This course amounts to a qualification for the CII role as detailed in the ACPO Manual of Standards.
Course / Module entry requirements
Delegates should be able to demonstrate a level of technical knowledge in relation to computers and the Internet, by having completed the RITES or CSNI courses at NPIA or equivalent training. Or can demonstrate this knowledge in the use of Internet applications including, chat, WWW, e-mail, IM and newsgroups with an understanding of the technology underpinning the Internet.
Students will receive pre-read material prior to the course relating to the legal framework of covert operations and will have to undertake a knowledge assessment as a pre-requisite for course attendance.

This course includes both theory and practical lessons.
Assessment process / accreditation details
A series of written and practical assessments will occur throughout the course, successful completion of which will lead to accreditation.
Successful completion of this course will allow 20 credits to be obtained towards the MSc in Cybercrime Forensics offered by Canterbury Christ Church University.
