International Commanders' Programme
Many current International Chief Officers are past students of the Commander's Programme delivered here at Bramshill. This is clearly a testimony to its enduring success in leadership development. We recognise the need to constantly reflect current leadership, management thinking and professional practice and have taken this opportunity to revise our programme. We have placed a new emphasis on the key themes of change management and influencing organisational culture, delivered through a new practical workbook. This accreditation leads to a Level 6 Certificate in Management and Leadership together with membership of the CMI. For the first time, we are offering a brand new simulated operations exercise, written specifically for an international audience and delivered in the Hydra suite located at Bramshill. In addition, a brand new criminal investigations week is delivered at the NPIA Forensic Science Training facility at Harperley Hall, world renowned for its delivery of crime scene investigation training. The week involves sessions on crime scene management, a case study delivered by a UK Senior Investigating Officer and an input on investigative interviewing. A revised one week UK based attachment to a selected police force offers a tailored programme to address individual requirements and gives a practical insight into the daily functions of UK policing. During the programme there is an occasion when delegates meet and 'walk the beat' with a local Neighbourhood Policing Team. There is also a new case study based upon the famous Battle of Trafalgar, which examines capabilities and resources linked to business success today. Other changes include a new input on Counter Terrorism, a revised look at international and organised crime, the use of information technology, financial intelligence, proceeds of crime techniques and team building.

Some delegate feedback from ICP 126/09
"I thought that the experience was a wonderful one which involved interaction and fostered camaraderie between the attending delegates. It was truly an excellent learning experience in a setting which was appropriate."
"So for me this course is most relevant that I attended. I wish I could have attended it earlier so I could bring many changes/improvements to my force and would be different the way I work."
"I have enjoyed this experience at Bramshill. It has been one of the best experiences I have had in my Policing career. The instructors were excellent and subjects/topics taught were in- keeping with the new style of Policing. All in all I would like to say thanks to all the instructors for giving me this new and brighter experience in Policing. I will indeed remember this experience and will put it all into practice on my return to my home force. Thanks!"
"This course increased my knowledge and experience for example leadership and management, community policing, neighbourhood policing, hydra exercise and any programs were very fine and useful for me to implement in my area. I hope one time we can to develop our Police department"
"They were the best instructors I have ever met in my life. Their professionalism and their respect to all students were really a credit to Bramshill I wish all the students from my country would be trained on this course."
