Specialist Training

Outside of our principal product range we offer a number of specialist programmes.

Refresher Crime Scene Investigator Course -  experienced CSIs are given the opportunity to refresh, update and develop their knowledge and practical skills, with emphasis on good working practice and health and safety.

Crime Scene Managers Development Programme - experienced CSIs can develop their scene managers skills to undertake the roll of CSM at major incident scenes.

Scientific Support Co-ordinator  -  a course which aids the development of crime scene managers to exercise effective command of multiple crime scenes and enhance their capacity for the control and co-ordination of scientific support resources.

Fingerprint Evidence Recovery and Recording Techniques ( FERRT ) Course - initial and development training covering all aspects of this specialist field.

FERRT Development Course - Further developing individuals in the subject of fingerprint enhancement techniques

Fire Investigation Course - this course provides instruction in developing skills in fire investigation preservation and presentation of evidence with inter-agency co-operation.

Digital Photography Course - a course that aims to develop existing police photographers in the use of digital photography as an effective evidence-gathering  tool.  For the latest information on Digital Photography please click here.

Forensic Physicians Course - delivered in conjunction with the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians, develops doctors in the field of clinical forensic medicine.   Currently, we are developing a pilot course for nurses working in the field of clinical forensic medicine- more information to follow.

Footwear Marks Coding and Intelligence Course - The aim of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to conduct initial assessments and coding of footwear marks.  This course forms part of the Footwear Learning Programme.
