Disaster Management
Our aim is to provide effective and professional major incident support to all our customers through advice and consultancy.
We research and promote good practice in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the field of major incident and major emergency management. This in turn enhances the development of major incident training.
Our overall objectives are to:
- develop and deliver new products in partnership with our colleagues
- continue to deliver current products and services whilst being alert to the need to review and amend as necessary
- develop and promote pan-national and international links
- develop and promote good practice in major incident doctrine
- establish and maintain conduits for information and learning exchange.
Current projects include:
- Review of the Major Disaster Advisory Team (MDAT)
- Review of Senior Identification Manager (SIM) Training
- Review of Disaster Victim Recovery & Identification Training (DVRIT)
